Stress management workshop with Padraig O’Morain on Zoom
Good stress bad stress
Zoom 25th March 7-8pm Ireland/UK time
Stress gets a bad press but when it's the right amount of stress, it helps to energise you and to make you alert and focused. When it's too much stress, it can make you distracted and fearful, and it can be exhausting.
In this one-hour event, I will lead you through exercises to help you to manage stress and to reduce unnecessary or chronic stress.
Learn to distinguish between:
Good stress that energises and focuses you
Bad stress that depletes and distracts you
Unnecessary stress generated by your own mind through catastrophising or excessive rumination
External stress from real-world circumstances and how to manage it
You will learn simple methods to reduce bad and unnecessary stress and its impact emotionally and on your physical health. One hour may seem like a short time in which to cover this important topic. However, you will also have access to a video recording of the hour and to an audio as well. In addition I will send notes to all who book. Putting all of this together and using it as you go forward can, I believe, have a substantial effect on reducing your stress.
In the “Good stress bad stress” hour, on Wednesday, 25th March at 7pm, we will do some practices, including a visualisation, that promote resilience to stress as well as giving us the tools to reduce stress.
The event will also be recorded and everybody who books will get access to a video link and also an audio as well as notes.
Things people say:Everyone should attend one of Padraig's classes. The difference between this & most mindfulness courses I've done is that he gives concrete examples of situations where one can apply change. Very down-to-earth and educational at the same time. 2021
