You just need to make sure that whoever you go to is entitled to give you the official training. I don’t really have a knowledge of one provider over another. P
Hi Padraig,
Do you think a Buddhist monk would be qualified to teach the dharma of which mindfulness is a component.
Kind regards,
John
Depends on the Buddhist monk I would say, and his/her knowledge of mindfulness and his/her ability to teach. It’s a good start though, to say the least.
Hi Pádraig,
Is “Creative Mindfulness” an evidence based & highly regarded area of mindfulness?
I know that The MTAI is the professional body representing qualified teachers of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) in Ireland.
Where does that leave “Creative Mindfulness”. I am a teacher and I am interested in doing further study in this area, but I’m very confused by the different accreditation organisations. I don’t want to pay a lot of money for a course that isn’t the right one for me. I am interested in one called Creative Mindfulness but I’m not sure if a different one would be more suited to my needs.
Thanks,
Anne Marie Doyle
Hi Anne Marie, to be honest I’m not familiar with ‘creative mindfulness’ as a concept or type of mindfulness or course. I am sorry I can’t be more helpful to you. Padraig
Thanks so much! I think that tells me what I needed to know. I appreciate your reply.
